How Does It Work?

A practitioner specializing in Cosmetic Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is able to analyze factors contributing to aging based on the philosophies of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  With the aid of this information, extremely thin, disposable needles are inserted at specific points on the face and other parts of the body to improve circulation and invigorate the facial area.

“I had the Cosmetic Acupuncture and it was amazing! Never experiencing acupuncture before, I was a little afraid. This was painless! Along with an incredible facial, I was educated both nutritionally and cosmetically.  This is a perfect approach for me as I have just turned 60, and looking for a non-surgical route to looking and feeling young.”

Why Cosmetic Acupuncture Over a Facelift?

While not a replacement for surgery, Cosmetic Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is an excellent alternative. It is far less expensive than cosmetic surgery and is safe, virtually painless, and has no side effects or risk of disfigurement (slight bruising can occasionally occur). This is unlike surgery, which may have an extended recovery period with swelling and discoloration. There is no trauma from Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and if it does not suit you, it can be stopped with no ill effects.

Does It Really Work?

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture has been performed for thousands of years in China. As early as the Sung Dynasty (960AD-1270AD), Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture techniques were performed on the Empress for facial revitalization as well as overall health and longevity. Since this time, the use of acupuncture for cosmetic purposes has gained popularity worldwide.

Recent scientific studies investigating Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture have shown this to be an effective and safe modality. Research has demonstrated that Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture to be an effective therapy with marked effects with one course of treatment. The effects included: improvement of the elasticity of facial muscles, increased moisture content, improved skin appearance, leveling of wrinkles, increased facial circulation, and overall rejuvenation not confined to face [1,2,3,4].

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The course of treatment is between 10-15 sessions.  Ideally, these should be done 1-2 times per week for best results.  Each individual will respond differently to the treatment, depending on their age and lifestyle. Visible results will be noticeable after 6 -7 sessions. Maintenance may be needed once every month.
